I got myself into an excitable spin when I noticed that the London Eye could be viewed through an ornate handrail on the opposite side of the Thames. I used the dominant framing of the barrier to line up my composition, and precisely placed the central spindle of the London Eye with the very tip of the handrail. By intertwining these two opposing circular shapes, I felt I was connecting old London with new.
