Jetty's are a place of 'safety' for small shoaling baitfish. They also mark where predators such as eel, lionfish, heron and photographers congregate. I have shot under this jetty for over 10 years now, returning each time to watch the dances between predator and prey. To capture this image I used two light sources, flash and static light, and slow shutter speeds. The aim was to have the baitfish paint their movement on to the environment. The movement here was dictated by a trumpet fish hunting the shoal from the left of the shot.
