My UTAH is a series of photographs taken during a month-long journey around the Colorado Plateau. In an area best known for its grand views and dramatic, color-soaked rock formations, this series instead focuses on the plateau's unique immersive qualities, such as the murmuring light, intricate textures, saturated colors, and chimerical arrangements of mass in space. These elements not only envelop the well-known, grandiose scenery but also serve to animate even the smallest vignettes. Here, the high desert light unfolds a quiet loudness, permeating the plateau’s visceral "Spirit of Place."
