"What Remains" is a personal series of Polaroids that once depicted a loved one. I deliberately manipulated and destroyed them to create entirely new images, ones that reflect the emotional intensity of grief rather than a literal memory. Polaroids are meant to preserve, but by distorting them, I echo how loss alters our memories: they blur, fragment, and shift. The original image dissolves into something raw and abstract, capturing the emotional tension between holding on and letting go, between what was and what remains.
