Without realizing it at first, I spent half a year traveling to places along former European salt roads — historic trade routes once used to transport precious salt in the Middle Ages. These places still whisper of their former wealth and significance. Amid this legacy, I encountered people, sculptures, shadows — fragments of past and present — captured in fleeting moments: timeless, emotional, diverse in identity and color. What remains is a unity of emotion, space, and time — 'painted' with a moving camera and light, long exposed and empathetic. No composites — each image, one single shot.
