Standing resilient against the harshest of conditions, the desert poplars (Populus euphratica), also known as the "Kings of the Desert", symbolize strength and endurance. For a few weeks each autumn, they bring life and beauty to the barren wilderness of the Taklimakan Desert in Xinjiang. Their golden hues blending into the amber dunes as far as the eye can see is truly a sight to behold.
