In the face of Mount Etna – 3,403 m, majestic and alive – a ballet of fire and ice unfolded. For hours we climbed through pale high fog, where sulfur tore the air, until around 3,000 m above sea level, the earth cracked open. Glowing lava spilled down snow-covered slopes. In the blue hour, the mist turned surreal, as if it were burning itself. My drone captured a panorama HDR mosaic from 114 frames, locked in a heartbeat of fire and ice. An image carrying the force of primal nature – raw, fragile, overwhelming.
