Two visually contrasting figures meet: a towering behemoth of stone grey and a delicate wisp of white. The rhino slightly raises its massive head almost in acknowledgment of a secret whisper from the egret. In this fleeting moment, power and fragility coexist, bound by an unspoken understanding. This photo was taken in Kenya.

We are Preeti and Prashant Chacko, photo artists working together as @composingthewild. Our passion lies in showcasing animals in the wild, in black and white. We believe that wild animals are beautiful, sentient beings brimming with stature, grace, sensitivity and strength. Our aim is to portray these qualities in our work.
