Echoes of Resilience was born from my grandmother’s memories of the 1944 San Juan earthquake in Argentina. Listening to her stories, I became fascinated by the extraordinary resilience, solidarity, and hope that emerged from such devastation. Through carefully staged photographs, I reimagine those memories while reflecting on a universal human experience: how communities facing disaster rebuild their homes, support one another, and find strength in the face of adversity. Ultimately, the series is about the enduring human capacity for resilience beyond borders and generations.
