Nikon F100 film camera, 50mm Nikkor Lens, expired Ilford black and white negative film

A pair of 1950s American cars cruising the university district in central Havana. In modern day Havana, these cars perform multiple duties as status symbols, taxis and icons for a country that is still trapped in a time warp. I love the feel of this shot which, with the framing and the use of black and white film, could just as easily be from 1967 as 2017. Shot on a Nikon F100 with a 55mm Nikkor lens using expired Ilford black and white negative film. The negative was high-res scanned by Rapid Eye in London as a TIFF then resized and saved as a JPEG.
