These places, I am lucky to have been there several times. And yet, with each of my passages, I managed to find always more astonishment and beauty. When night falls, I enjoy wandering between the small fishing villages and enjoying the moment. There, the colors are sumptuous, as only northern Norway can offer. I take advantage of long minutes of these moments, alone, in front of the Norwegian paradise.

Biography

Self-taught photographer, committed globetrotter, image hunter, Olivier Jarry-Lacombe does not fit into the usual boxes and assumes this life of wandering and travelling. After a career in finance, he decided to change his life and put his passion for photography at the center of his life. This decision and the desire to return with exceptional images led him to undertake numerous long-distance, autonomous expeditions, in vans, throughout Europe. These experiences transformed him. They profoundly changed his perception of the world and changed the priorities he wanted to give to his life.

I had the chance to see my work regularly published in daily newspapers and specialized journals and rewarded in the most prestigious national and international competitions. ? Finalist in the international competition The Independent Photographer Landscape Photographer of the year 2020 ? Recipient of 2 bronze awards for the series "The perfect storms" and "Colors of Paradise" at the international competition Px3 Prix de la Photographie Paris 2020 ? Second place in the IPA International Photography Awards 2020, category "Landscape" for the series "Colors of Paradise" and Honorable Mention for the series "The perfect storms " ? 3rd place in the international color photography competition Chromatic Awards 2020, category Professional - Landscapes, for the photo "Paradise Island" and Honorable Mention for the photo "Polar Colors" ? Rewarded for the photo "The Lost Ground" with a "Highly Commended" mention at the international competition GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the year 2021 among more than 19000 participating photos from more than 36 countries. ? Bronze medal (3rd place) at the Trierenberg Super Circuit 2021 international competition for the photo "Alone in the Light" ? Gold medal at the New York Photography Awards 2021 international competition for the "Paradise Island" photo series. ? Winner of the Alan Johnson Prize 2022 (Man-Nature category) organized by the Festival de la Camargue et du Delta du Rhône for "Pitch Perfect"
