This February, I visited Minamata in Kumamoto Prefecture. I was so busy at that time that I wanted to go to a guest house deep in the mountains and relax for a while. It took me a lot of time and effort to get to the guesthouse because I had to transfer to the public transportation, but I was able to relax for a while in the old inn along the river and the fun time with the local people. It was a trip that made me realize once again the charm of the country where I live. This is my memory of only a few days, but Minamata is a place I want to visit again if I can travel freely again.
