As we move towards complete digitalisation, there are those amongst us who seek the move backwards, to removing ourselves from digital platforms, social media and the like. Sam tried to remove traces of himself from the internet and discovered how incredibly hard it is; how there remains a 'memory' of you, almost a digital ghost. We shot this in camera - by shooting plain frames first, pixelating, then printing, mounting; the idea being to suggest ideas of distortion, complexity of confusions between reality and other digital versions of ourselves that we may wish to move away from or expose.
