This is a traditional flame festival in Japan. Toba Shrine holds sacred rituals once a year. A lot of trees are wrapped around the sacred tree which is a symbol of God, and a fire is set. The messenger of God competes with the bare hands to remove the burning tree and take out the sacred tree first.
