The photo shows the Monte Altissimo of the Apuan Alps during a spring sunrise. To reach this spot I had to walk for 2 hours following a marble path. Under the mountain in the distance you can see important white wounds that unfortunately characterize these extremely exploited environments due to the marble, their "white gold".
