This is 48 year old Gabriele. He suffers from Klippel-Fell syndrome (KFS) a rare congenital condition characterized by the abnormal fusion of any two of the seven bones in the neck. Recently, his condition has worsened and made his life a bit more complicated. We decided to document his “progress” in photos. The beauty of Gabriele (besides his clever mind) is his determination to face the “slow” loss of the functioning of his legs. This photo is just a regular “Italian Sunday afternoon”; Gabriele having fun with the help of pizza and wine in what he calls his “new office chair!"
