Whilst the waters were dark, shafts of side light were breaking through what was an overcast morning, illuminating this striking sea stack in the Mediterranean Sea. In that moment, I was compelled to name this image Theia. In Greek mythology, Theia was a Titan goddess of shining and light. My imagination raced. I saw faces beneath Theia. Was it Hyperion? Were they her children? Were there attempts to hold her down or was she propelling those beneath her upwards? I felt her presence and uplifting radiance, there was no holding this goddess down.
