This is a part of a campaign to motivate people to actively participate in protecting wildlife habitat in Africa. It does the opposite of stirring up the usual moral outrage with scenes of dead rhinos without horns sawn off etc. That sort of passion is intense but short lived. Instead it evokes a feeling of empathy and haunting nostalgia by showing the animals in an idyllic state of harmony and balance that existed during Victorian era. By falling in love with Africa the viewer is more likely to visit and then make an effort to preserve it for future generations.
