“Florence”, the title of this work, is an ongoing project. Searching for the light and locations in Florence Often, the narrow streets are only illuminated by dim light. Yet at times one can find certain moments of the day a very dramatic scene created by an intense contrast of light and dark. Much time was spent studying the light and its evolutions throughout the day. Using a street photography approach I became increasingly interested in capturing the people, all under the spotlight as if they were on stage, the stage of an ordinary life under an extraordinary light. Like the man of the crowd, I spend hours trying to capture a scene, a fragment of the essence of the city, far from the tourists and the landmarks. Thank you for your consideration, Simone Buda
