These photos are a part of a photo series with the name "Dance of the seven veils". It‘s a behind the scenes portrait of striptease dancers in Las Vegas. The areas where these dancers work are constructed spaces that rely on illusion, fantasy, and desire. The girls in this exotic world are constructed the same way and so are the rooms where I photographed them. The girl's name in this photo is Tiania. She is 21 years old and from Minneapolis. "You never tell your real name to people in the club", she told me. That’s why the girls give themselves a stage name. Tiania calls herself Toni. It's a world where is going on a lot behind the scenes. My pictures are a study about these women - their bodies, outfits, poses and the relation to their surrounding.
