When I awoke at 5am it was raining steadily so I was tempted to sleep in. We hit the track and drove through a number of river crossings in the dark hoping that the water levels hadn't risen. We eventually arrived, checked for crocodiles then setup our gear and waited patiently for the rain to stop. Just as sunrise rolled around, the horizon started to clear and beautiful light shone through. Despite the clearing the rain continued and I became increasingly frustrated - I couldn't keep my lens dry for long enough to obtain a useable photo! Patience was all that was required. A few minutes later, the rain stopped briefly allowing me to thoroughly clean my lens and capture this unique photo.
