Nan Oshin the beautiful and simple propping and lighting of these images describes the product in an original and happily interesting way ... which deviates very successfully from the ways in which most food/beverage/lifestyle images are created at the moment
For this suite of still and moving assets, I wanted to create a clean, Scandinavian feel for a luxurious new wine decanter. The ETO features a mirrored top so threw up many challenges when trying to shoot. I wanted to make sure we didn't rely on post production to handle unwanted reflections so a huge amount of time and effort was spent shaping and diffusing light to get the desired effects in camera. We used a combination of continuous and strobe lighting to achieve the look and feel and allow for easy transition between shooting stills and motion.
