As these solitary and territorial predators fly low over the frozen tundra just outside of Ottawa at dusk and dawn, there is danger in the air as unsuspecting field mice below scurry over the frozen snow. The snowy owls and mice have a common mission; both are hunting for food, what little there is in the harsh conditions of Winter. But snowy owls have two major advantages; they have incredible vision and are silent fliers. As they manoeuvre into position for their final approach, as a plane coming into land would do, the end is often inevitable. Meet the stealth hunters of the Arctic.
