Dawn Whitmore is a freelance photo editor and exhibition planner based in Washington, DC. In addition, she is a photographer and artist whose work focuses on identity, gender and technology. She currently holds a studio residency at the Arlington Arts Center in Virginia.
Prior to embarking on her path as a professional artist, Dawn worked for numerous magazines and organizations including ARTnews, Barnes & Noble Publishing and the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP). Leading a freelance life has enabled her to work with a variety of clients, photographers and filmmakers. When not in the studio, Dawn is often working with various animal rights and conservation groups.
